There are certain habits and some jaw growth patterns that can produce this orthodontic problem where the front teeth don't overlap each other. The biggest problem with this is the inability to cut through food with the front teeth. Depending on the origin of the open bite (harmful habit, dental , or skeletal) a different orthodontic and or surgical approach may be needed. |
