Flared and protruding upper anterior teeth are often found in children with thumb sucking habits. They can also be present without finger habits due to abnormal growth or eruption of these teeth. Some kind of orthodontic treatment is needed to move this teeth back not only for esthetic and self esteem reasons but also to protect them from injury in the case of a fall. Many kids with protruding teeth also have chipped anterior teeth due to trauma. |
